We will strive to offer you eco-friendly resorts that are committed to supporting the local communities and environment. There are many luxury resorts that we have relationships with, for example Santiburi Koh Samui, which is a wonderful 5-star hotel that has been certified as a carbon neutral resort resulting in no impact on the environment around. Six Senses resorts filter their own water and provide this to their guests, thereby completely replacing the need for plastic bottles. In many of their resorts they have adopted a zero-waste policy, meaning all materials have a new purpose. These are just two examples of resorts which support the natural environment and the precious culture of the countries that are visited. We offer a range of holidays that support sustainable tourism.

We believe that it is important to minimise the carbon footprint of all the holidays that we offer and so therefore we donate to two charities every time our customers travel with us. We also ask for a voluntary donation from our clients to reduce their footprint.

Charity We Support

Tree Aid www.treeaid.org has partnered with the UN Convention to Combat Desertification to grow trees across the drylands of Africa. The aim is to develop the Great Green Wall. Our donations contribute towards providing local communities with the expertise to plant, nurture and cultivate trees which provide nuts and fruits and help people out of poverty whilst also protecting their environment. Trees are essential to improve the soil, protect against erosion, increase biodiversity and help combat the effects of climate change. The work of Tree Aid is carried out throughout the drylands of Africa in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger and some parts of Ethiopia.

TREE AID helps people in the drylands of Africa to lift themselves out of poverty and protect their environment. People here live in some of the toughest conditions on earth and trees are essential to their survival. Trees provide nutrition, generate income and help to create a healthy environment. TREE AID works with local communities to help them protect and grow trees, for themselves and for future generations. Working across the drylands of Africa, we have planted over 17 million trees, supported 8 million people and all our work contributes to the Great Green Wall project.

Sustainable Hotels

With sustainability coming such a worldwide issue there are some incredible projects and hotels addressing this head on. Some of these wonderful eco hotels have made changes including only use local food for their meals.

Food miles count for a lot and being able to cut them down is a massive start for hotels. Many hotels we have visited and recommend are now being constructed with local natural building materials. It not only contributes to the local community but keeps the feel of the hotel or resort to location specific and more authentic of the area.

There are some fantastic initiatives around the world from hotels who are working to look after the natural habitat of the location including animal welfare. There are hotels working to clean their seas and beaches to reintroduce animals like turtles. Others are running programmes to bring animals back from the brink of extinction. Many hotels and resorts are also supporting the local areas and villages and investing in the community. Many of the hotels will love you to join them in what they are doing. Find out more about these locations by contacting us.
