Maldives

The Maldives offer a paradise of locations for weddings and honeymoons but the Velassaru resort is a wonderful place to visit for a renewal of vows. The renewal will start with a Maldivian Bodu Beru procession leading you to the magnificent beachfront. Your bouquet for the day will be from tropical local flowers which will be beautiful island blooms. The master of ceremony presides over the promises you make to each other in wha will be a beautiful ceremony. After the renewal of vows, sip on champagne with sand between your toes creating brand new wonderful memories of your love.

The Maafushivaru is an island full of tropical dessert island charm. Enjoy a beautiful honeymoon in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Enjoy a five course candlelit dinner on the beach and dip your toes in to sea at sunset. It is one of the most intimate places to start your married life. The island has beautiful villas standing out of the water away from island giving you panoramic views of the sea and sky. They have beautiful private decks and some have swimming pools or access straight into the sea.

Mauritius

Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa is a perfect place to get married in a beautiful and luxurious location. It works really well for small ceremonies or couples wanting to get married away from friends and family. It is in an idyllic location with ceremonies on the beach or on their romantic jetty acting as aisle. There are also options for ceremonies in their secret garden or in the privacy of one of their villas. All the extras like hair, make up and flowers can be organised by the hotel making the day run smoothly leaving you to enjoy the day and being with the one you love.

The Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa in Mauritius is a wonderful place for the ceremony but also a delightful honeymooning spot. The resort offers you your own wedding coordinator to help organise all the details before you arrive. This is the place for sheer sophistication and a show-stopping ceremony and party no matter what the size. Venues for the ceremonies include the beach, private villas or even make use of the private island of lot Mangenie. Make sure you try their honey moon breakfast on the beach for an incredible experience.

Italy

In Italy, the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi is a picturesque location for a wedding. The converted 13th Century monastery brings together classical architecture and romance along with a modern day luxury hotel. There is a beautiful private church to have the ceremony in and terraces with the most beautiful panoramic views of the Amalfi coast to have your reception on.

Greece

The Blue Palace resort in Crete is a beautiful place for a honeymoon. With private suites and incredible views the romance levels are off the chart. Enjoy a gastronomic meal in the privacy of your own villa created by their top chefs. A turn down service to cover the bed in blossom or run you a bubble bath fit for two. You will also be greeted on arrival with a bottle of champagne and feast of sweet treats. Including traditional almond macaroons (amigdalota), fried honey pastries (xerotigana) and lemony shortbread rolls (patouda). There are also sugar coated almonds left which locally symbolise prosperity, fertility and longevity.

The honeymoon suit at the Grace Santorini resort is a room with an incredible view. From your private balcony sip on champagne in the sunshine and be overwhelmed with the blue with the vibrant blue sea and sky panoramic view. In the evening watch the sunset from your private plunge pool before heading inside to your suite where there is lovely living area and king size bed.

St Lucia

In St Lucia, the Anse Chastanet resort is a beautiful place for a wedding or honeymoon. With multiple beautiful places to chose from including different beaches, the remains of an 1th Century plantation, high up with views over the trees in the treehouse, in the Pool Suite and a cottage with ocean views. There is even an option for having an underwater wedding if you both parties are certified divers. The resort offers such an incredible range of options to make you day perfect. They can provide steal bands, champagne sunset cruises to receptions in any of the locations. We definitely love the idea of a private tent reception on the beach.

Sugar Beach in St Lucia which also offers a range of beautiful locations within their resort. This includes ten ideal places for a wedding and receptions. They offer beautiful beach front ceremonies and receptions but what we also love is the Great Lawn for a rich and vibrant tropical mountainous view. The Terrace Restaurant is a classical stone colonial style terrace which is very romantic with beautiful views. Plus if you want a more contemporary experience, the Cane Bar and Lounge is a cosmopolitan space well known for their creative cocktails. The resort will supply with your own planner too so you know that all the details are being taken care of.

Africa

Mara Bushtops in Kenya is a stylish and romantic African wedding destination and perfect if you are looking for a luxury safari wedding. For a beautiful tented wedding in the middle of nature this location combines wilderness and luxury. The beautiful African planes are the backdrop to your wedding while you have you ceremony on a private deck. Champagne and canapés or a candlelit dinner are the perfect way to start your married life together. Before sleeping under the stars for your first night together. For a truly authentic African experience a special Maasai wedding dance can be organised to be performed at the ceremony.

For a dream African honeymoon the Belmond Eagle Island Lodge in Botswana is one to be considered.
